It aims at publishing and accessing toinformation. The pattern of following and being followed can easily know the newesttrends of friends or people who are interested in. And at the same time, you can shareyour views, opinions and excellent resources with others. The timeliness andconvenience of microblog enrich the people get the latest news in the shortest time.The microblog supports a variety of media, including pictures, video,and audio andso on, which have enriched the types of information resources and expanded the scopeof news transmission in a quicker and more convenient way. It is easy to operate themicroblog and it supports mobile devices, making it natural to interact among people,everyone in the microblog can be the ”leading role".The rapid development of microblog in China has a huge user group, whichattracts wide attention of scholars from all walks of life. In order to exploit its deeperapplication value, more and more scholars pay more attention to Education field. Dueto its own characteristics and core concept,it combines the idea of student-centeredand people-oriented modern education as well as the education information and thedevelopment trend of mobile learning. The using of microblog in education has apromising future. However,academic research of microblog is very limited.

With the sudden outbreak of Twitter, microblog has sprung up,such as SinaMicroblog and Tencent Microblog etc. Its application is mainly concentrated in thefield of journalism, communication and making friends. As a new networkcommunication tool, microblog has also been a concern of many experts and scholars.Educational applications on microblog research and practice are also unfolding, but3 the domestic education about the microblog application is mainly focused ontheoretical exploration. Its contents are mainly on introducing the characteristics ofmicroblog, advantages and its combination with education. Although the microblog iswidely used in the daily life, the article about its application in the education is limited,and the related books are less. Only a handful of scholars have introduced themicroblog into teaching, while the researches that combine it with the Englishteaching are even less. As for how to apply microblog into oral English teachingpractice, we should not only think and explore from the theoretical level, but alsoneed more teaching practice to confirm its application results. However these limitedarticles still offer a certain inspiration and guidance to later studies.
