ABSTRACT
Chinese ancient poetry translation has always been difficulty and hot topic in translation field. To achieve the aim of promoting culture exchange better, there are many translation approaches. Among them, Nida’s Functional Equivalence Theory is thought highly and used widely in Chinese ancient poetry translation. This paper is to analyze two versions of translation of Sushi’s Tune: Prelude to Water Melody from the perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory. Through the comparison of similarities and differences of use strategies of the theory between the two translations, this paper is to prove the feasibility of Functional Equivalence Theory in Chinese ancient poetry translation. In addition, this paper is to make contribution in poetry translation.

摘要
诗歌翻译一直是翻译探讨的难点与热点。为了更好的促进东西方文化交流,英语论文范文,英语论文范文,大量的翻译措施被提出并被使用。其中,最受翻译学家认可并且被广泛使用的是奈达的功能对等理论。本文选取了苏轼的《水调歌头•明月几时有》的两个英译本,以奈达的功能对等理论为略论视角,通过对比探讨两个译本关于功能对等理论的使用策略的相似与不同,从而证明功能对等理论在诗歌翻译的可行性, 并为诗歌翻译时理论的选取做出一定的贡献。

1.1 Background
Chinese ancient poetry is a cultural treasure which is often regarded as the China’s greatest contribution to world literature. For thousands of years, ancient poetry is the carrier of the most vivid emotions and history of Chinese ethnic groups and the most concentrated expression. The studies of Chinese ancient poetry allow readers to get a deep understanding of national wisdom and Chinese honored history. For foreign readers, they may have an idea of rich culture in China.
