摘 要
随着中国经济的快速发展和国际文化交流的增加，越来越多的英文电影被引进中国，英语论文题目，英文电影片名的翻译变得越来越重要。由于不同文化中社会、历史的不同，英语毕业论文，意译是电影片名翻译中一项行之有效的措施。但是，当前英文电影片名的意译依然存在着一些问题。为了在电影片名汉译时更好地运用意译，译者必须具备相关的要求。
本文首先阐述了电影片名的功能及其翻译的准则，并介绍了三种一般的翻译措施。然后略论了英文电影片名意译中的常见问题及其产生原因。最后从译员角度出发，指出电影片名的佳译要求译者必须具备对英文电影的鉴赏能力、处理跨文化异同的能力、深厚的文学功底和负责任的心态。

Abstract
With the fast development of Chinese economy and strengthening of international culture exchanges, more and more English movies are introduced to China; therefore, the translation of English movie titles has become increasingly important. Due to the social, and historical differences across different cultures, free translation is one of the effective skills to translate movie titles. But at present there are still some problems in the free translation of English movie titles. In order to improve the translation, some requirements are necessary for translators when doing English-Chinese movie titles translation.
Starting with the functions of English movie titles and the principles of translation, this paper elaborates three general translation approaches. And then, it also analyses common problems as well as the causes in free translation of movie titles. Finally, this paper concludes that for good translators, their capability of appreciating English movies, capability of handling cross-cultural differences, capability of excellent mastery of Chinese literature and responsibility are quite necessary for good translation.

1 Introduction
Movie is a kind of art that can be shared by different people who have different hobbies and social statuses. Nowadays, movie has been accepted and favored by more and more people as a popular form of entertainment. It is also one of the most important elements in the world’s cultural communication. With the rapid development of China’s reform and opening-up as well as frequent communication between China and the rest of the world, especially the English speaking countries, more and more English movies are introduced into China’s movie market.
