摘要
本论文主要探讨英汉习语的对比与翻译。习语是丰富多彩的，可分为：俚语，典故，谚语和口语用词，它们与文化密切相关。自然环境和社会因素的不同是文化异同的主要方面，英语论文，主要表现在地理环境和天气的不同，人们的思想模式和生活经验的不同以及等等。本文通过研讨中西方文化的异同，提出意译，直译，对等翻译，英语论文，加注翻译和释义翻译等翻译措施来正确的进行习语翻译。

Abstract
This thesis is a study on the comparison and translation of English and Chinese idioms. Idioms are rich and colorful, they can be classified into the slang, allusion, proverb and colloquialism, and are closely connected with the culture. The differences in natural environment and social factors are two main aspects in cultural differences, they reflect in differences in geographical conditions, weather, people’s mode’s of thinking, life experiences and so on. Through probing into the cultural differences, the thesis puts forward free translation, literal translation, equivalent translation, translation with notes, paraphrasing translation and so on to get the idioms translated correctly.

1. Introduction
Idioms are the language module composed of fixed phrases and sentences, including idioms, proverbs, allusions, slang and so on. They are concise, vivid, philosophical, and enlightening. Idioms are experience or lessons summed up in people's long-term production practice and life experiences, shining the light of human wisdom, including strong ethnic and regional characteristics. As the essence of language and culture treasures, Idioms are historical legacies of language, are the result of historical and cultural heritage. It is like a mirror, can clearly reflect the characteristics of the language and cultural identity of a nation.
Idiom translation is not only the essence of language translation, the cultural meaning of the translation of idioms is more important. A lot of scholars in China have devoted all their lives to the study of idiom translations. In China, although there are many papers on translation of idioms, and many of them are outstanding, but very much the same. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the English translation of idioms in detail.
