近些年来,多媒体教学发展迅速。它集文本图形、图像、声音、动画和视频等多种媒体功能于一体,在英语教学中使用多媒体有利于促进英语学习,开阔学生的视野,提高教学效率。但多媒体教学也有一些局限性。本文作者通过问卷调查等方式调查了中学英语教师和学生对待多媒体的态度,教师使用多媒体的情况以及多媒体的教学效果等,英语论文,并对这些现象和问题予以略论和总结,最后提出针对性的建议。

Abstract:
Recently, multimedia teaching and learning develops rapidly. It combines text graphics, images, sound, animation, video and other media together to deliver information to students. Using multimedia in English teaching is helpful to facilitate English learning, broaden learners’ horizons, and improve the teaching efficiency. But there are some limitations to multimedia teaching. The author did a study on teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards multimedia, teachers’ practical application of multimedia and teaching effect of multimedia instruction by way of questionnaire survey. The author will analyze these phenomena and problems and finally put forward specific recommendations.

1.1 Introduction
The 21st century is the digital age. The American computer educator Bork had predicted in 1978: “Early in the 21st century, computers will be used for education in schools and almost all kinds of subjects.”Modern education technology impels not only the education, but also education concept of ascension. It also promotes education methods and means. The modern education technology is used in the Multimedia Assisted Teaching. It is regarded as a kind of innovative teaching methods, such as the text, graphics, video, audio and animation, which greatly enrich the teaching activities. Multimedia optimizes the structure of English classroom teaching, making teaching interesting, vivid and attractive. In this way, it helps to improve teaching quality. In China, teachers teach with multimedia. Although multimedia is good for both teachers and students, there are still many problems. What’s more, relevant theories and strategies are not very mature for this new teaching method.
