Abstract
Listening to and singing English songs contributes to English language learning. At present, universities all around the world are opening the course: the Appreciation and Practice of English Songs. However, with the further development of the course, its problems come to show up. Most studies on this field are based on teachers’ experience and lack practice. Also, the strategies some scholars propose are lack of theoretical foundation. Through the analysis of the data of the questionnaire for the students in the class of the Appreciation and Practice of English Songs and the interview with the teacher, this paper finds a lot of problems of the course. The result shows that there are five main problems: the teacher is short of professional knowledge of music; some students can not adapt to the environment of all-English teaching; there is a contradiction between the teacher's and the students' interest; some students have an unwise learning motivation; the drawbacks exist in equipment of teaching and curriculum setting. According to English language teaching methodology and practical experience, this paper provides some constructive strategies and suggestions for the long-term development of the course.

摘 要
听唱英文歌曲对英语语言学习具有巨大帮助。当前，国内外许多大学纷纷开设英文歌曲赏析课程。可是，随着课程的不断深入发展，其存在的问题也逐渐暴露出来。国内外学者在这方面的探讨多从教师的角度出发，提出的建议也缺乏实践性和理论基础。本文通过略论XX大学英文歌曲赏析课程选课学生的问卷调查数据以及深入探讨对授课老师采访的结果，英语论文，发现了该课程存在的种种问题。探讨结果表明，该课程存在五大主要问题：教师缺乏一定的音乐专业知识，学生对全英文教学环境不太适应，师生兴趣点存在矛盾，学生存在不良的不理智的学习动机，教学设备及课程设置存在一定的缺陷。根据现代英语教学法的要求以及该课程在发展过程中所获得的实践经验，英语论文范文，本文对每一个问题提出了相应的整改对策。这些对策对英文歌曲赏析课程的长期发展有一定的启示影响。

1 Introduction
With the advent of the popularity of English all around the world, how to learn English has become one of the most-watched issues in the academic circles. An effective approach people have come up with recently is listening to and singing English songs. To keep up to date, since 2017, University has been specially offering a new course: the Appreciation and Practice of English Songs. The course objective is partly to offer students a chance for relaxation after the long-time and monotonous study, but mostly to cultivate students' musical intelligence and increase their interest in English study, as well as improve their abilities and qualities in listening, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and culture of English countries, which will meet the requirement of cross-cultural communication, and also live up to the Ministry of Education's target: enhancing students' humane literacy and cultivating versatile talents.
