摘 要

步入21世纪,英语毕业论文英语已成为中学生必修的学科之一,词汇英语的核心,然而却为很多教师所忽略。在很多情况下,词汇教学是孤立的,它所存在的语言环境经常被忽视,教师通常只会让学生通过不断的朗读和书写来死记硬背。结果,英语论文,很多学生都失去了对学习英语的兴趣,尤其是初中学生。本文主要讨论初中英语词汇教学中的情景运用,并且根据二语习得理论,词汇学理论以及中学生的心理性格特点对语景词汇教学的可行性进行了探讨。本文主要采用了文献法,问卷调查法,观察法,访问法,以及实际教学实验法对文本情景词汇教学对中学生的作用进行了调查探讨。通过与其他词汇教学方式的对比探讨发现,语景词汇教学能够使学生快速记忆单词并且不易遗忘,获益匪浅。

Abstract

Vocabulary teaching has not been given enough importance in programs for teachers during the twentieth century. In some cases, vocabulary teaching is often neglected by certain teachers. They tend to teach vocabulary in isolation, and let their students memorize words mechanically through reading and writing, which results in students’ lack of vocabulary context awareness. Consequently, many students lose interest in learning English, especially for the middle school students. The Situational Contexts Vocabulary Teaching (SCVT) method becomes a popular foreign language teaching method gradually. This paper mainly focuses on the application of SCVT in junior middle schools based on language acquisition theory, lexicology theory and the psychological characteristics of middle school students. And it involves methods concerning literature, questionnaire, observation, interviews, and educational experiments. Through comparing with other vocabulary teaching methods and researching middle school students’ characteristics, it is found that students can benefit a lot from the Situational Context Vocabulary Teaching Method. Students who learn words through situational contexts can remember them quickly and unlikely to forget soon. By adopting scientific vocabulary teaching techniques, teachers can help students improve their language acquisition ability and language competence.

1 Introduction
With regards to the importance of vocabulary, River (1983, p.58) points out that the acquisition of an adequate vocabulary is essential for the successful second language learning. Just as linguistic, McCarthy claims that no matter how good one’s pronunciation is, if he has no adequate vocabulary to express his own feelings or to understand other people’s opinions, he still cannot communicate with others well.
