Abstract: In recent years, with the continuously improvement of people’s attention to English, learning English at twice the speed with half the effort has becoming a goal of English learners. It is generally known that vocabulary is vital to English learning. You can learn more words in less time when you have mastered better methods of vocabulary learning, so the learnig efficiency is likely to improve remarkably. Then you can learn English at twice the speed with half the effort as expected. This paper aims to analyze the effects of different modes of word presentation on intentional vocabulary learning by discussing the features of thematic clustering, semantic clustering, synonym and context, as well as their effects on the processing, memorizing and retention of words. This paper is composed of five parts. The first part is the introduction. The second part summarizes the literary research at home and abroad. The third part is the main part, which concretely analyzes the effects of different modes of word presentation on intentional vocabulary learning. The fourth part is the enlightments to English learners. The last part is the conclusion. It is hoped that this paper will provide some suggestions for the English learners and help to improve the efficiency of Enlish leaning. |
