Abstract
As the first lengthy serial novel in the history of Chinese literature, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, combining with the official and unofficial history, depicts the struggles and contradictions of politics, military affairs and diplomacy among the Wei Kingdom, Shu Kingdom and Wu Kingdom happening in the end of Eastern Han Dynasty and in the whole period of Three Kingdoms. Homer’s Epic, known as the encyclopaedia of ancient Greece consisting of Iliad and Odyssey, has been regarded as the magnum opus of European epics two thousand years ago. The two works describe magnificent wars and portray large quantities of heroic images. They are full of heroic passion. Based on these similarities, they can be compared to each other. So far there are lots of researches on each works, but few studies deal with comparison between them. Based on the former scholar’s studies, this paper chooses heroism as the entry point along with the angle of cross-culture, explores the differences of heroism in these two works and analyzes their cultural connotations.
The paper consists of three parts. It firstly deals with a brief introduction of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Homer’s Epic，including their backgrounds and story summaries. Then, it states the definition and origins of heroism in Chinese and European culture. The third chapter discusses the differences of heroism contained in these two works and their causes, analyzes the deep multi-culture integration from the traditional collectivism and Western individualism.

摘 要
《三国演义》作为中国文学史上第一部长篇章回体小说，结合了正史和野史，描述了东汉末年和整个三国时期魏蜀吴三国之间的政治、军事和外交斗争。《荷马史诗》(《伊利亚特》和《奥德赛》)被称为古希腊百科全书，两千年来一直被认为是欧洲史诗的杰出代表。两部巨著都描写了宏大的战争，英语论文题目，塑造了大批英雄形象，洋溢着豪迈的英雄主义激情。基于这些共同点，它们具有很强的可比性。到当前为止针对单部著作的探讨不计其数，但对两部著作比较略论的探讨仍然较少。在借鉴前人探讨成果的基础上，本文以英雄主义为切入点，英语论文范文，结合跨文化视角，探究两部著作中体现的英雄主义异同，并略论其中的文化内涵。
本文分为三个部分。首先，简要介绍两部著作的时代背景和故事概述。紧接着简述英雄主义的定义以及英雄主义在中欧文化中的起源。第三章论述了两部著作中英雄主义的异同和导致这些异同的原因，并从传统集体主义文化和欧洲个人主义文化出发，略论了两部著作中所体现的多元文化融合。
