Abstract:
Animal Farm is one of the most famous novels in the world written by George Orwell. It is a political fable novel. It is written based on the history of the Soviet Union from the Russian Revolution(1917) to the Tehran Conference(1945). The story was set in a farm. It tells the story about animals that overthrow the control of the farm’s landlord and get the right to manage themselves. But they betray the wish of the beginning—equality, freedom. Symbolism and black humor skills are abundant in this story. It was published in 1945 and got lots of attention from all over the world at once. It is undeniable that it helps us to understand the Left and the Right in the party at the fore of the 20th century and also our world today. There are four parts in this paper. First, the paper introduces the author and the background of the story. Second, the story is introduced in detail. Third, it gives an analysis of main characters in Animal Farm at the point of symbolism and black humor. Last, there will be an conclusion to this paper and some suggestions for the future study are given in this part.

《动物农场》是英国作家乔治•奥威尔的小说代表作之一,英语论文题目,是著名的政治讽刺寓言小说。本书是以1919年俄国十月革命至1945年德黑兰会议期间的苏联史为背景写成。故事发生在一个农场,英语论文网站,讲述动物推翻人类的统治进行自治,最终却与平等、自由的愿望相悖。书中大量应用黑色幽默和象征的表现手法。小说一经发表便受到了全世界的关注。不可否认,它对理解二十世纪上半叶的左右翼很有帮助,也有助于理解当下世界的政治。本论文共分为四部分,第一部分将对作者生平经历和小说的写作背景进行介绍。第二部分是对小说的主要内容进行详述。第三部分将对故事主要角色所体现的黑色幽默及象征手法进行略论。最后,本论文将对以上内容进行总结,并提出以后探讨方向的建议。

1 Introduction
1.1 About the Author—George Orwell
George Orwell is a famous novelist and journalist in the 20th century. He is also a political writer. He had written many masterpieces in his short life, such as Down and Out in Paris and London, Burmese Day,A Clergy Man’s Daughter,Animal Farm, Nineteen Eighty-Four and so on. He created“Orwellism”--combine polity with literature. All his works were written according to his experiences in his life.
George Orwell was born in Bengal, India, in 1903 and died in 1950. He once used the name Eric Arthur Blair. He suffered from poverty and diseases in his life. When he was a child, there was nothing difference with other guys: a little lonely, make troubles and have the normal intelligence. Nobody would image that he would become the famous writer later. But when he refused to go to college, all his life was changed. People think maybe this was his first performance of “Orwellism”. In 1922, he moved to Burma where he became a policeman of imperial.
