1 Introduction
Christianity is one of the world’s three main religions, and probably, the most influential one. It was derived from Judaism, but it had much less Judah nationality color. Gradually, it was accepted by more and more people in Europe, and along with colonization, it was spread to America. White people from European believed in Christianity, and with the development of slavery, it also became the hope and spiritual support of black slaves.
In 17th and 18th centuries, white American plantation owner practically opposed black people’s access to Christianity. They had racism in mind and believed black slaves were uncivilized people who didn’t have the quality to contact with god. While in 19th century, they changed their mind, and began using Christianity as one of their tools to control the blacks in spirit.
