摘要
小飞侠彼得潘诞生于苏格兰作家詹姆斯•巴里的著名童话剧和童话故事《彼得•潘》。巴里的大部分著作是戏剧,英语论文,《彼得•潘》最早也是一部戏剧。1904年12月27日在伦敦公演时获得了巨大的成功。后来巴里把它改编成童话故事。从此,《彼得•潘》被译成多种文字传到国外。
本文将以《彼得•潘》的主要人物和表现主题为切入点,结合国内外探讨学者的相关文献,对小说的人物、主题、段落进行细节略论,英语论文题目,对巴里的人生经历、创作之路进行探索。文章首先对巴里的悲惨童年和失败的婚姻进行了略论,这些深刻地作用了巴里的人生。然后结合《彼得•潘》这部童话故事中人物的略论,与巴里的性格进行对比理解。最后根据现代学者对彼得•潘综合症患者的探讨,结合美国流行天王迈克尔•杰克逊的彼得•潘情结,进一步了解彼得•潘与詹姆斯•巴里的悲剧人生。
本文通过对《彼得•潘》这部童话故事的深刻略论,帮助读者进一步认识与了解詹姆斯•巴里的悲剧人生。

Abstract
Peter Pan was created by the Scottish writer James Matthew Barrie’s in his famous children’s play and stories, Peter Pan: The Boy Who Not Grow Up. Most of Barrie’s works are plays, and Peter Pan was a play at first. It gained a great success when performed in London, on December 27, 1904. Thus Barrie adapted the play to s storybook. From then on, Peter Pan was translated into various languages and introduced to foreign countries.
This thesis proposes to analyze the characters and themes of Peter Pan by examining paragraphs and by reviewing the life experience and literature career of James Matthew Barrie, drawing upon some sources and references by foreign scholars. This thesis firstly gives an analysis about Barrie’s miserable childhood and failed marriage, which affects his long life largely. After that it compares the images in Peter Pan with Barrie in details. Finally, it interprets the tragic life of James Matthew Barrie with the evidence of Peter Pan Syndrome and the father of American Pop music, Michael Jack’s Peter Pan’s complex.
The result of this thesis will give a deeper understanding of James Matthew Barrie’s life by offering a new reading of Peter Pan.

1 Introduction
Peter Pan is the best-known work created by James Matthew Barrie, which was finally titled “Peter Pan: The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up”, and was first performed in London, England, on December 27, 1904, at the Duke of York Theatre. It has since become one of the most widely performed and popular children’s stories in the world. Then this play was adapted into a book. From then on Peter Pan remained in great demand for children all over the world. It became a fundamental compulsory reading book among children. It is also Barrie’s best-known work, though he was a prolific author.
