摘 要
英国著名文学家戴维•赫伯特•劳伦斯(1885-1930)是20世纪最有成就和争议的作家之一,在他的文学生涯中创作了许多享誉全球的著作,英语毕业论文,《儿子与情人》便是其中的代表作。作为一部半自传体小说,《儿子与情人》在出版之日起就受到了许多关注,而小说中是否存在着弗洛伊德心理学中的“俄狄浦斯情结”,包含儿子对母亲不正常的爱,也一直是许多学者争论的焦点。
本文试着以小说的故事发展和人物略论为基础来研讨文中体现的恋母情结,并从五个方面对此种心理问题进行略论。第一部分是论文引言,对恋母情结、劳伦斯的生平以及其著作《儿子与情人》进行了简要的介绍。第二部分主要略论了小说中所体现的恋母情结,笔者从小说中的主人公保罗对母亲的爱和他们之间的争论两方面来讨论。第三部分是对恋母情结产生原因的略论,并且这些原因从侧面印证了保罗恋母情结的必然性。第四部分略论了恋母情结给保罗带来的作用。最后,第五部分是对本文的总结,归纳出论文中笔者对小说中体现的俄狄浦斯情结的相关略论与肯定,希望对学者在此方面的探讨有所裨益。

Abstract
British famous writer D.H. Lawrence is one of the most accomplished and controversial authors in 20th century. D.H. Lawrence writes many world-renowned works in his literary career and Sons and Lovers is one of his masterpieces. As a semi-autobiographical novel, Sons and Lovers attracts much attention since it is published. Whether the novel embodies Freud’s psychology on Oedipus complex, especially the abnormal love between the sons to mother is the key point of contention by many scholars.
This thesis tries to analyze the Oedipus complex in the novel from the aspect of story development and character analysis and dissects the mental problem of Paul from five aspects. In the first part is the introduction, it gives a brief description of Oedipus complex, Lawrence’s life and his work—Sons and Lovers. The second part mainly analyzes the Oedipus complex in the novel. It discusses the problem from two sides of Paul’s love to his mother and the conflicts between them. The third chapter is the analysis of the causes of Oedipus complex in Paul and it also proves the existence of the Oedipus complex in the novel from another aspect. Then, the fourth chapter is about the analysis of the ending of the novel and the Oedipus complex’s influence to Paul. Finally, part five comes to the conclusion of the paper. The paper hopes to help the scholars’ study on the relative research.
