摘要
《简•爱》自创作以来就一直受到读者的喜爱和评论界的尊重。人们热衷于谈论简•爱的生活经历和后来与罗切斯特的爱情故事，也被她其强烈的自尊、自立、自强的个性而吸引，同时也误解了著作中所塑造的另一个女性反抗形象——伯莎•梅森，这个被作者赋予疯女人称号的人物，往往被理解为是构成简•爱与罗切斯特婚姻的障碍。这个疯女人与著作中的其他女性形象一起，用于铺垫和陪衬之用。随着女权主义的兴起，伯莎才从女权角度得到重新解读。实际上伯莎和简•爱一样都是男权社会的牺牲品和男性压迫的反抗者，甚至伯莎的反抗更为猛烈、更为彻底。

Abstract
Jane Eyre has been loved by readers and respected by critics since it was created. People were found of talking about Jane Eyre’s life experiences and her love story with Rochester, and also attracted by the heroine Jane Eyre's strong personality of self-esteem, self-reliance and self-strengthening. In the novel, the other woman’s fighting image was misunderstood---Bertha Mason, who was endowed with the title of crazy woman, was often understood as a barrier in the marriage of Jane Eyre and Rochester. The mad woman works with other female images together, used for matting and foiling. With the rise of feminism, Bertha has gotten reinterpreted just from the feminist perspective. In fact, Bertha and Jane Eyre are both the victims of patriarchal society and male oppression protesters, Bertha even revolts much more violently and thoroughly.

1. Introduction
