摘要
散文是指以文字为创作、审美对象的文学艺术体裁，是文学中的一种体裁形式。 “中国现代散文”指的是“五四运动”之后，英语论文，即开始普及白话文之后的散文。这一时期涌现了不少优秀的散文家，也创造了很多优秀的著作。近年来国内外翻译理论界越来越关注对翻译家的探讨。翻译理论家们开始探讨翻译家的背景，翻译动机，翻译观点以及他们的翻译实践，希望从中概括出对翻译理论建设与译员培养的一些有用信息。译者的译风特点，成熟的翻译技巧的探讨也是翻译探讨的一个重要组成部分。张培基是我国当代著名的翻译家。在翻译方面，特别是散文翻译方面，具有高深造诣。张培基先生在散文翻译方面作品颇丰，其中《英译中国当代散文选》受到读者的一致好评。他把语篇放在第一位，追求既能传达原文信息与功能，又能再现原文风格和韵味。
该论文首先对从事翻译事业将近50载的张教授生平及其著作进行阐述，并略论其译文例句来考察张教授翻译风格，技巧；特别是对《英译中国现代散文选》（一）和（三）从选材，翻译目的，翻译功能，风格的保持，散文篇名的翻译，文化因素的翻译以及这两本译本的重要意义等方面进行了略论。该论文最后对张培基教授在翻译界及翻译学习做出的贡献和指引给予了肯定，英语论文范文，并期盼后继学子们能积极参与到翻译事业中来，为中西方世界的沟通和理解贡献一份力量，让世人更加了解我们的文化。

Abstract
Prose refers to text, aesthetic object for the creation of the genre of literature and art, is a form of genre in literature. “The modern Chinese essays” refer to the essays after the “May Fourth Movement” or after the introduction of the vernacular Chinese. During this period, a great number of outstanding essayists have emerged with a variety of excellent essays. In recent years Translation Studies have been focusing increasingly on translators. Theorists have begun to research into translator’ backgrounds, translation motivations, translation views and translation practice, so as to generalize information helpful for translation theory development and translator cultivation. The study on translators’ translation styles, mature translation techniques is an important part of Translation Studies. As distinguished contemporary translator, Zhang Peiji has been dedicated to translation study, especially prose translation. He has published books and articles on prose translation, among which the three volumes of Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings have received countless favorable comments from readers. He gives priority to the reproduction of the textual spirit, and strives to express the information and function of the source text, as well as the style and flavor of the source text.
This paper firstly make a statement for the life and works of professor zhang who has been dedicated in the translation career for 50 years, and analyzes the example to examine his translation style and skills. Especially on the material selection of the Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings of (1) and (3), translation purpose and translation capabilities, style keeping, prose essay translation, cultural factors in translation and the analysis the importance of the two translations. At the end of the essay ,we speak highly of professor Zhang’ contribution in translation and translation guidance for future learners, and looked forward to subsequent students actively involved in the translation career, contributing to the communication and understanding between the western and the oriental.
