Abstract：Jane Eyre, a classic still of much influence among people today, is an inspiring book whose charm does not fade with time. It has kept drawing people’s attention since it was first published. Its author, Charlotte Bronte, has created an immortal character which can blaze continuously as the time goes by. This paper is intended to explore the feminist consciousness in Jane Eyre from the author’s experience and the formation of Jane’s characteristic. The aim of this article is to make people understand how Charlotte Bronte’s feminist ideas are embodied in the book. The author wants to help the readers to further understand and appreciate Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre. |
