Abstract
Lady Chatterley's Lover was published in 1928. As his last novel in his lifetime, Lawrence praises highly of human sex with evangelical zeal in this work, and gives much delicate and subtle description about the sexual experience, which indicates his deep consideration of historical, political, religious, economic and social problems at that time. Since its inception, the work has aroused critics’ fierce discussions. Someone holds that Lawrence indicates explicit male chauvinism in the work. Someone gives praise of him for his successful expression of gender relationship. Someone views it from the perspective of ecofeminism. There are also some people who have analyzed it by view of marriage or gender perspective.
This thesis will have an analysis of the ideal female image in new era and equal relations between men and women in Lawrence’s mind from the perspective of feminism and will explore the process of Lady Chatterley’s individual regeneration and the causes as well. This kind of multi-angle perspective will finally help us to have a better understanding of the characterization and the novel’s theme. The thesis consists of five parts. The first part gives a brief introduction to the author and The Lady Chatterley’s Lover as well as the critical response of the novel. The second part states the doomed fate of the main characters in the novel. The third part illustrates the inevitable breaking up of Connie-Clifford relation as well as its reasons. The forth part gives an account of Connie’s individual regeneration. The final part summarizes the previous analysis and generally come to the conclusion that Lawrence is an allegiant supporter of feminism.

《查泰莱夫人的情人》出版于1928年，英语论文题目，是劳伦斯的最后一部小说，作者在著作中以宗教般的热忱赞美人间性爱，以细腻微妙的笔触描绘两性联系，同时在两性联系的书写中蕴含了对历史、政治、宗教、经济、性别政治等社会问题的严肃思考。该书自问世以来，英语论文网站，一直受到国内外评论家的广泛评论。有人认为劳伦斯的著作中表现了露骨的“男性中心主义”；有人对劳伦斯表示赞赏，说他在著作中贴切地呈示了两性的真实联系；有人从生态女权主义出发对其进行略论；也有人从婚姻观、两性观的角度入手对该小说进行了解读。
本文将从女性主义视角出发，略论《查泰莱夫人的情人》中主要人物康妮个人重生的过程及其根本原因，结合劳伦斯的两性观，全方面多角度的展现劳伦斯心中的新时代女性形象及平等的男女联系，揭示作者在该小说中体现出来的女性主义观点。本文由五部分组成。第一部分对劳伦斯及其著作，《查泰莱夫人的情人》的探讨近况和本文的结构进行了简单介绍。第二部分阐明小说中几个主人公的命运是必然的发展趋势。第三部分叙述康妮与克利福联系的破裂及其原因。第四部分解析康妮与梅勒士的结合，并辩证的略论康妮个人重生的过程和原因。第五部分总结前面的略论，得出劳伦斯是女权主义的忠实拥护者的结论。
