In this section, the author will present the relationship between writing and thought pattern.Afterwards, Chinese thought pattern and English thought pattern are generally discussed.在本节中,笔者将当前的写作思维方式之间的联系。此后,中国人的思维模式和英语思维模式普遍讨论。


1.1 The relation between writing and thought pattern
The linguist Wolf states that the grammar system in each language (Syntax) is used notonly to express thoughts, but itself affect the formation of it. As noted by Marx, language isthe direct carrier of thinking, which is deeply rooted in the different culture and thinkingmode.While what is thinking mode? Rong Kaiming (1989:30) states: “during the thinkingprocess of the subject reflecting the object, there appears a stereotyped thinking, thinkingapproach and thinking procedure in the form of integrated and unified program”. Thinkingmode primarily consists of the knowledge, concept, method, intelligence, emotion, mind,language, habit, the eight elements (Chen Xinxia, 1988:504).Characteristics and structure ofthese elements set the nature, type and characteristics of thinking mode as well as differencesin the way of thinking. Thus, there is an extremely close relationship between language andthought pattern. The differences in thinking pattern are the main cause of those oflinguistics.(Lian Shuneng,2017). “TP is firstly performed and recorded in the languageitself.”(Hegel). As for the writing, it is a significant way for an author in a written language to conveyinformation and communicate feelings (Hu Chundong, Wang Cairen, 1996). So the writingprocess is not only a process of language output, but also a communication process of thoughtfor an author and a reader. As an effective means of thoughts communication, writing is anintegrate part of human communication. In this sense, the English writing is a means forChinese students to express their ideas in English, and developing the students’ Englishwriting ability is developing the students’ ability to communicate in English. However,whether it is speaking or writing, the prerequisite is thought. Therefore, training students’English writing ability in the English teaching is not just a way to train students’ ability tocommunicate in English, but to train students’ thinking ability in English, which is one of theways of cultivating students’ comprehensive English competence. Therefore, we come to a conclusion that there does exist a rather closely relationship between writing and thoughtpattern
