1.1 Research context
As the international business activities has been becoming increasingly boomingafter entering WTO, more applicable talents in business area are expected to bom thanever before. Business English (BE), as one variety of English language for specificpurpose, has been introduced as a major in many Chinese vocational colleges since 1980s.Those students are supposed to extend both their English skills and relative businessprofessional knowledge. CCOIC (China Chamber of International Commerce) made aresearch in 2017,which shows that until the late 1980s there are more than 300vocational colleges opening BE subject as a major, and this number has increased to 400after 2017. However, the existing research and literature material received unsatisfactoryresponse by employers, which indicated that most graduates majored in BE did not showgreat performance on their job. Related research results show that those who adequatewell in English do not have solid basis of business while those who show great talent inbusiness field do not do well in English. Admittedly, BE is a new major in China'scolleges. This subject is young and immature. For both instructor and learners, there aremuch more need to improve and work on. Huying Liu (2017) pointed out the existingproblems of BE course,they are problems of curriculum system,teaching methods,teaching and learning environinent. These three factors covered exactly the aspects ofmacro and micro. This paper aims to offer concrete measures to improve teachingmethods and to promote teaching and learning environment. English Professor NickBrieger, BE language specialist, believes BE learning includes the acquisition oflanguage knowledge,英语毕业论文,communication skill, professional content, management skills andcultural awareness. So, BE is clearly an interdisciplinary subject, involves diversifiedknowledge, such as English, International Trade, Secretary, Communication Arts andScience and other aspect of necessary business related knowledge. Under thosecircumstances, BE learning is a challenge to both teachers and students. Efforts made byteacher focus on the teaching methodology while students are keen to find an efficientway to learn.

1.2 Purpose and significance of the study
This study aims to provide an actual way to solve problems in field of BE teaching.First, instead of traditional way of BE teaching, this study introduces a new teachingmodel which can catch up with the development of economy and fit the requirement ofsociety. Second,learners are no longer waiting to be passively served, but actively takingparticipate in practical learning, so as to enhance learners' practical ability.
