ABSTRACT
The phenomenon of “Excessive Entertainment” refers to a kind of new phenomenon which regards consumerism as its core; treats modern media as its main carrier and uses flimsiness or jocosity as its way. By watching these theatrical joking performances, people can relax their tense nervous and achieve pleasure. In this paper, the British Television Show “Britain’s Got Talent” will be regarded as the research background. This paper will make an analysis of the status and trends of the British Television Programs. Also it will make a comparison of the phenomenon between British Television Programs and Chinese Television Programs to analyze the pros and cons, so that we can lead people towards a healthier recreational life.

摘 要
泛娱乐化现象泛指的是以消费主义为核心,英语论文题目,以现代媒体作为主要载体,英语毕业论文,以其内容的空洞浅薄或戏谑为方式,通过那些戏剧化的搞怪表演,试图放松人们紧张的神经,进而达到快感的思潮。本文以英国电视节目《英国达人秀》为探讨背景,对英国电视的近况及趋势进行探讨略论;并将英国电视节目与中国电视节目的泛娱乐化现象进行比较,进而略论电视节目泛娱乐化的利弊,从而引领人们朝着更加健康的娱乐生活迈进。

Chapter One Introduction
1.1 Purpose of the Study
The invention of television and the development of social media have greatly changed the way of cognition. Television Programs are of great importance in enriching our daily lives. They present a vivid world for people all over the world. We can enjoy the beautiful scenery, wonderful performance and live broadcast through the Television Programs even if we are not in the sense of action. As the social media develops, various kinds of entertainment programs exist on the TV screens. Entertainment programs are the aesthetic experience and visual feast; it can meet people’s physical and mental relaxation. However, the “Excessive Entertainment” programs may present in the ways of theatrical joking performances to release nervousness and achieve pleasure. With corpus method, this thesis aims at analyzing a kind of new phenomena of “Excessive Entertainment” through the famous show--- Britain’s Got Talent. Then, by researching the current situation about British Television Programs, the thesis tends to show the audiences and readers the pros and cons of these new phenomena.
