摘要
卡梅伦版的《泰坦尼克号》在全世界好评如潮，却并没有赢得英国评论家的青睐，英国评论家们认为《泰坦尼克号》更多展现的是英国的旧社会，而不是英国人在事件中的英勇表现。然而更多别国学者评论家们认为电影的些许民族色彩并未掩盖英国人的英勇行为，比如我国电影评论家周绍斌等。在查阅了历史文献并整理了泰坦尼克号事件中的各项数据之后，经过和电影进行对比发现，除了虚构的爱情故事及其故事人物之外，电影《泰坦尼克号》几乎真实的反映了整个泰坦尼克号事件。英国男性在《泰坦尼克号》中的表现可圈可点。
泰坦尼克号的故事之所以流传千百年，不仅是因为尖锐的指出了贪婪与背弃的人性弱点，更是因为它探究了贯穿泰坦尼克号事件中的人性最崇高的一面，那就是无私。这一点又主要表现在了896名英国男性船员以及大部分英国男性乘客身上，他们在灾难面前的无私勇敢既是英国人乃至整个欧洲引以为傲的骑士精神，英语毕业论文，他们骑士精神的表现在电影《泰坦尼克号》中有着深入的刻画。本文从电影《泰坦尼克号》出发，结合史料，整合英国男性的表现，并略论他们在泰坦尼克号事件中的骑士精神的表现。
本文主要包括三个部分：文献综述，骑士精神的一个简单梳理，英国男性在《泰坦尼克号》电影中以及历史中的表现，包括略论电影中出场的几位重要的具有代表性的英国男性，略论他们的所作所为以及对英国男性精神的体现以及英国男性的死亡数据。论文最后得出结论：骑士精神是英国男性个人气质和道德修养的核心，也是英国民族精神的重要组成部分，体现了英国男性乃至英国民族的精神文明。在《泰坦尼克号》电影中，骑士精神也贯穿着整个故事。英国男性面对死亡无私无畏的精神就是骑士精神，泰坦尼克号事件是英国男性骑士精神的一次集中体现。

Abstract
Many British scholars and critics held critical viewpoint of the film Titanic. They thought Cameron’s motive tampered with the history and obliterated the good performance of the British on the Titanic. When the British were indignant at the film Titanic, researchers of other countries examined data of the Titanic. These data revealed that the survival rate of British men was lower than non-British men, and most British men followed the law of the sea that women and children first on the Titanic. These are the best praises to British men’s spirit of self-sacrifice in this catastrophe. By contrasting the film Titanic with the historical documents and the Titanic data, I found that the film Titanic restored the real history except the fictional love. The film Titanic showed more praises than criticisms to the British men.
The thesis contains three main parts: literature review on the film Titanic, and chivalry, a brief introduction of chivalry, and the British men’s performance on/in the Titanic, including the heroic deeds of some representative British persons who were highlighted in the film, and the survival rate of British men. It comes to the conclusion that: Chivalry is the kernel of a British man’s moral qualities and an important part of the national spirit of the British, which shows the spiritual civilization of British men as well as the British nation. Chivalry runs through the film Titanic. British men’ selfless and dauntless actions are the highest expression of chivalry. The Titanic disaster is a concentrated embodiment of British men’s chivalry.
