Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of economic globalization, Chinese and western cross-cultural communication is becoming more and more frequent. While the conflicts between different cultures have also been becoming more and more obvious, family value is believed to be a significant of cultural values, and it has decisive influence on the behavior of the members in the family.
Pushing Hands is one of the best movies reflecting the cultural conflicts of Sino-US family values. But a comprehensive analysis of family values and the reasons for the differences seen from that movie is rare. Thus the significance and necessity of the research of the paper is self-evident.
This thesis consists of three chapters and tends to view the differences of Sino-US values on families in Pushing Hands. At the beginning part, the thesis gives a brief introduction to Ang Lee and his famous movie Pushing Hands. In the second chapter, a detailed analysis of the differences of China-America family values from the following aspects including family affection and family education is made. The last part, a further exploration of the reasons causing that difference will be made. That is different historical and cultural traditions, beliefs and thinking models which lead to the differences of the family values. Finally, through the contrastive study, we make an important conclusion: in cross-cultural communication, it’s hard to say which family value is better, so we shall place more respect, tolerating and understanding for each other.

摘 要
近些年来，随着经济全球化的深入发展，英语论文题目，英语论文范文，中西之间跨文化交流变得越来越频繁。然而，不同文化间的分歧也越来越明显。家庭价值观常被视为文化价值观的重要内容，对家庭成员的行为习惯会产生决定性的作用。
《推手》就是一部反映了中美家庭价值观冲突的佳作。但是从《推手》这部著作入手全面略论中美家庭价值观异同的文章还为之不多。因此本文探讨的重要性和必要性是不言而喻的。
本文主要分为三部分，主要略论电影《推手》中体现的中美家庭价值观的异同。第一部分对李安及其执导的电影《推手》作一个简单的介绍，第二部分从亲情、家庭教育入手对中美之间家庭价值观的异同作了深入的略论，第三部分将探究这种异同背后的原因：即不同的历史文化传统、信仰和思维方式。最后通过对比探讨，得出一个重要结论：在跨文化交流的过程中很难说哪一种家庭价值观更好，因此人们需要给予对方更多的尊重、宽容和理解。
