Abstract
Satire to the society, fear and panic about the reality, those motifs reflected in gothic works are immortal, because the unpredictable changes of the world have really shaken off people’s sense of security about life itself. People's long-lasting desire of individualism and liberation, people's ever growing appetite for strong visual impact, people’s long-lasting pressure out of fierce competition and infinite desire as well as people’s rising perplexity about their lives, all these contribute to the rebellious spirit of Gothic culture to criticize the reality.
Gothic culture, a non-mainstream culture focusing on the gloomy and negative side of human beings, expressing rebellion to the society and panic about the reality ,would be the immortal culture with its complete system undertaking the responsibility to criticize the reality.
This paper analyzes the rebellious spirit— one of the main aspect of the Gothic culture, from four parts: the first part introduces the world “Gothic” and Gothic culture; the second part deals with the rebellious spirit and its manifestations in architectures, novels, movies and fashions; the third part discusses the immorality of the rebellious spirit and the last part reveals the significance of the rebellious spirit.
In the history of Gothic culture, rebellious spirit is always the dominant ideology, bearing the cultural responsibility to oppose moral turpitude and spiritual descend. The Gothic culture will continue to develop its own rebellious spirit to awaken the true humanity and repair the society in confluence with popular culture.

摘 要
世界瞬息万变，不可预知，粉碎了人们的安全感，这使得对社会的讽刺以及对现实的恐惧成为哥特著作不朽的主题。同时，人们渴望个性解放，对强烈视觉冲击的兴趣与日俱增，还有激烈的竞争压力，英语论文题目，无穷的欲望以及生活的困惑。这些因素都促使人们应用哥特文化中的反叛精神来批判现实世界。
哥特文化作为一种非主流文化，体现人的灰暗和消极的一面，表达的是人们对社会和现实的恐慌和叛逆，在整个文化系统承担着批判社会的责任，英语论文范文，将会是一种不朽的文化。
该论文主要从以下四个反面论述哥特文化中的反叛精神。第一部分从哥特元素入手介绍哥特以及哥特文化；其次介绍哥特文化的反叛精神及其在建筑、小说、电影和时尚界的表现；第三部分介绍哥特文化反叛精神的不朽；最后介绍该精神的现实意义。
哥特文化在不断的传承过程中，始终以其反叛精神作为思想主导，在哥特文化中承载着反对道德沦丧、反对精神沦落的文化责任。在与大众文化的合流中，哥特文化将继续发扬自身的反叛精神来唤醒人类的本真并且修葺这个社会。
