Abstract：
The present paper aims at finding the differences and reasons that may cause the differences of wedding conventions between China and America. Based on researches of the cultural backgrounds of the two cultures such as preparations before wedding, wedding dresses, wedding locations, wedding ceremonies and superstitious conventions in traditional wedding, the differences between Chinese and American wedding conventions are caused by the different politics, cultures, regions and values as well as different sources of culture that result in the different values of eastern and western world. As wedding conventions are a common heritage shared by people all around the world, they are playing a more and more important role in culture communications of different regions. There should be a more diverse and tolerable concept for English learners towards foreign cultures including wedding conventions in the coming future.

摘要：
本文旨在通过对中美婚礼习俗文化背景的略论找出双方在婚前准备、婚礼服饰、婚礼地点、婚礼仪式以及传统婚礼迷信习俗这几个方面的异同，阐述了导致中美婚礼传统习俗之间异同的政治，文化，英语毕业论文，地域和价值观等四个方面的原因。随着社会的快速发展，人们关于跨文化交际的需求日渐提升。由于婚礼传统习俗是全人类都享有的文化，它也在不同领域的交流中起着越来越重要的影响。因此，英语学习者应该对涉及婚礼传统习俗的美国文化采取更加多元化、更宽泛的文化包容态度。

1. Introduction
In recent years, cross-cultural communication has become an irreplaceable part in people's daily life with the increasing needs for communication among nations worldwide. At the same time, the differences between Chinese and western culture are also given more and more attention to by people.
