摘要
中美作为当下的两大超级大国，各自未来的前景被赋予了诸多猜测。我们将欧美的参照样本与当代中国人进行社会性格的比较探讨，英语论文题目，在文化异同的层面上，对社会性格进行跨文化探讨。
在本文中，通过中美青年人的社会角色的表现，从外部作用和自身观念来略论，通过中美成功人士的实际案例来尝试讨论独立性对人的作用和影响。当今社会，啃老族是一个时尚而又引起热议的词语，即是指明现在的年青人没有独立能力，靠父母打点生活中的一切。而与之相反，美国的年青人却是实践中的能手。
在文化异同的层面上，对青年人的独立性格进行跨文化探讨，因其独特的视角而成为我们探讨的最佳切入点。鉴于中国与欧美文化之间所呈现的异同阶梯性，我们选择了美国的年青人士的普遍的性格特征作为参照样本，与当代中国人的社会性格进行比较探讨，希望获得在不同文化传统背景下社会性格构成的异同及其变化趋势。这一跨文化探讨关于进一步深入探讨当代中国人独立性的近况以及成功塑造跨世纪中国人的独立性格将具有积极而深远的意义。

ABSTRACT
China and the US as the two superpowers contemporarily, their future prospects were given a lot of speculation. We will study social characters referring to the sample of the U.S. and contemporary Chinese and make a comparative study of cultural differences in the level of cross-cultural study.
In this article, through young American people’s performances as social roles, from external influences and their own ideas to analyze and try to discuss the independence of the effect and functions on people by studying practical successful examples of the U.S. and China. In the contemporary society, not only a few adults have no ability to exist except to exploit their parents without paying. In contrast, young people of the United States are experts in practice. The cross-cultural study of independent character of the young in the level of cultural differences, become the best starting point of our study because of its unique perspective. In view of the culture differences between China and the United States, it show as a ladder, we selected general characters of young people in the United States as a reference sample, and have a comparative study with the characters of contemporary Chinese. We want to get the difference of composition and the trend of change of social character in different cultural traditions.
This cross-cultural research for the further study of the status of the independence of Chinese people and shaping the independent character successfully in the next century will have a positive and far-reaching significance.
