摘 要
《欲望都市》是美国HBO有线电视网播放的喜剧类剧集。整个主题围绕“欲望”，但并不仅仅就“欲望”而谈“欲望”，而是反映了那个时代美国单身女性对生活、对爱情的普遍思考。四个纽约中产阶级女性：凯莉，英语论文题目，米兰达，萨曼莎，英语毕业论文，夏洛特的爱情生活透射出那个时代女性的爱情观，同时又反映出时代对四个女性爱情观的作用。
本文通过总结四位女主角在《欲望都市》中的一系列的爱情联系，用爱情类型理论对其不同的爱情类型进行定位，进而对其爱情观进行略论：即随着女性地位的提高和女性主义的抬头，这些有着相当物质基础的女性开始更加慎重地考虑自己的终身大事，更加自由地支配自己的身体。看似不同的爱情类型，并没有带来她们爱情观的绝对不同。他们的爱情不受金钱、地位等其他客观因素的支配，而只是纯粹的从人性自由的角度出发去定义爱情观，自由随性是他们爱情观的最大支配者。

Abstract
Sex and the City is a television series broadcast on American channel HBO. The whole show’s topic is about “sex”, but it does not really talk about “sex”. The show reflects American single women’s thoughts about life and love under the background of Sex and the City. Four New York middle-class women: Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, their love life reflect women’s attitude toward love at that time and society’s affection to their attitude toward love.
By summarizing a series of love relationships in Sex and the City and using the theories from the studies of the attitude toward love, this paper can analyze their attitude toward love: As the advancement of women’s social position and the feminism movement, these well-paid women start to consider their love and marriage carefully and support their bodies by themselves. It seems that these four girls have different love styles, but it does not bring much difference to their attitude toward love. Social position and money are not the problems for a love relationship. They define their attitude toward love from the angle of their own freedom.

1 Introduction
Sex and the City is an American television series. In 2017, it won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, which makes it the first television series to win this award. The original run of the show was broadcast on HBO from 1998 to 2017. It is based in part on writer Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name, which is compiled from her column with the New York Observer. The series consist of ninety-four episodes.
Sex and the City’s background is set in New York City. It is focused on four white American women, three in their mid-thirties and one in her forties. The series have several continuing story lines about these four women’s love life. It specifically examined the love lives of the big city professional women in the late 1990s/early 2017s.
