摘 要
婚姻向来被奉为人生中的头等大事之一，无论在中国还是西方都受到人们的广泛重视。中西婚俗各具特色。总体上讲，中国传统婚礼热闹而喜庆，颜色以红色为主：而西方婚礼浪漫安静，颜色以白色为主。筹备婚礼时，中国礼节、规矩繁多，而西方则相对比较简单。中西婚礼在选择婚期、结婚礼服等方面都不尽相同。举行婚礼时，英语论文题目，中式传统婚礼婚礼过程比较复杂，礼仪也比较繁琐，主要由迎亲、拜堂、宴请宾客、入洞房、试厨和回门六个步骤组成，绝大部分亲朋好友都会被邀请参加整个婚礼仪式，从开始到结束气氛都十分热闹。而西式婚礼过程则比较简单，主要由教堂仪誓、婚宴和度蜜月三个步骤组成，只有最亲近的亲戚和朋友才有资格参加教堂仪式，英语论文网站，宣誓过程安静而浪漫，大部分亲朋好友都会被邀请参加婚宴，婚宴中还通常包含舞会。本文通过比较中西方婚俗的差异,主张大家正确看待中西方婚俗文化并促进其交流与融合。

Abstract
Marriage has always been regarded as one of the top priorities in our life, so it is valued by people no matter in China or western countries. Chinese wedding customs and western wedding customs are quite different from each other. Generally speaking, traditional Chinese wedding is lively and gorgeous, the main color is red; while western wedding is romantic and quiet, and the main color is white. When planning a wedding there are a lot of etiquettes and rules in China while in West they are relatively simple. There are a lot of differences in choosing wedding date and wedding dresses. The Chinese wedding ceremony is complex, mainly consisting of six steps: meeting the bride, performing the three bows, banqueting guests, entering bridal chamber, testing the bride’s cooking skill and visiting the bride’s parents. Most relatives and friends will be invited to attend the whole wedding, which makes the wedding lively and festive from beginning to the end. On the contrary, the western wedding is simpler, mainly including three procedures: the ceremony in church, the wedding reception and the honeymoon. Only the closet relatives and best friends are invited to attend the ceremony in church, during the ceremony the air is quite quiet. Most friends will be invited to the wedding reception, and there is also a dance party in the reception. This thesis is mainly about the comparison between Chinese and Western wedding customs, aiming at providing a correct understanding of Chinese and Western wedding customs and promoting their communication and integration.

What is wedding？ What does a wedding mean? The word“wed”is derived form the ancient Greek word for“pledge”. And that’s exactly what a wedding is, no matter what country it takes place in, no matter what culture it’s part of. To wed is to pledge yourself to another. There are few acts we perform that are more pure or more beautiful than act of marriage. [1]
