Abstract
As is known, different culture have different cultural knowledge in the linguistic area and different language may reflect different culture and the social psychology behind the cultural phenomenon. Categorized into two different culture systems, Christian and Islamic cultural study is related through comparison made in various aspects such as linguistics, psychology and etc, which contribute to the understanding of the cultural definition, cultural recognition and identification between people from different cultural-background. As a valuable tool for discourse analysis, M.A.K Halliday`s systemic functional grammar plays a dominant role in interpreting the textual function, ideational function, interpersonal function of language and their reflection in different cultural contexts. By defining and applying SFG with typical examples, this thesis probes into the study of funeral customs and the social-cultural psychology behind them from a new and explicit perspective of linguistics. Besides, both linguistic and cultural features of the discourse texts are also presented. In general, this comparative study aims to reach conclusions about the linguistic devices that bring social-cultural psychology into full play in Christian and Islamic funeral texts under the guidance of systemic functional grammar.

众所周知，不同的文化在语言学领域反映不同的文化知识并且不同的语言也会显示不同的文化和不同文化心理。代表不同文化系统的基督教和伊斯兰教,在很多领域如语言学,心理学等方面互相关系,构成不同的文化内涵,文化认同感和人与人之间体现出来的不同的文化背景。韩礼德的系统功能语言学是探讨语言的概念功能,人际功能和文本功能及其语言应用的话语略论的有效工具。应用话语略论理论和结合实例,本文旨在应用语言学进行基督教和伊斯兰教两种不同文化的对比研,解释不同文化背景下的不同的文化心理。另外，英语论文网站，英语论文范文，通过应用韩礼德的系统功能语言学，不同文化背景的文化心理与语言性,文化性差别也有所提及并用典型的例子给与解释与证明。

1 Introduction
M.A.K Halliday`s Systemic Functional Grammar (Henceforth SFG) plays an indispensable and irreplaceable role in the study of language and language use against different social-cultural backgrounds. Linguistic study has been rarely involved in cultural research). As a way of study of linguistics, systemic functional grammar exerts a great impact on discourse analysis. It should not be restricted to the study of literature works or some simple daily conversations. Comparison of different cultural texts from Christian and Islamic culture under the guidance of SFG can give people a deep impression and a good understanding about the relationship between language and culture. It is important not only to be aware of the different cultural concept and the process of cultural recognition, but also to approach the social cultural psychology from the linguistic perspective.
