Abstract:
In linguistic communication, address forms are always the first information transmitted to the audience. Apt address forms will make the communication go smoothly. When mentioning address forms, people will inevitably be reminded of kinship and non- kinship address terms. Because of the deep disparities between eastern and western cultures, undoubtedly great differences exist between Chinese and English address forms. Culture is a system of symbol for every country, and language is only one element of the symbolic system in this network. And it is obvious that one should not only think of language and culture but also of language in culture. In different culture environment, the same address forms may have different pragmatical rules, different pragmatical scopes, and different pragmatical meanings. The difference of using address forms is easy to make misunderstanding in intercultural communication. In order to avoid the pragmatic failures of address forms in intercultural communication, the differences between Chinese and English address forms should be studied. This paper is based on the kinship terms and the address in social intercourse. Students should realize and compare the differences between Chinese and English address forms, and understand the differences between Chinese and English culture. This paper will mainly analyse the similarities and differences of the English and Chinese address forms, as well as the reasons for the differences, aiming at a better understanding of them, which is helpful for people to understand each other thoroughly, and to make contributions to improving the interpersonal communication level and to help set up good relationships.

摘 要：
在语言交际中，称谓往往是传递给对方的第一个信息，恰当的称呼能使交际得以顺利进行。称谓语是一种重要的社会语言学现象，含有浓厚的文化特色和语用特点。而一提到称谓语，英语论文题目，人们自然而然地会联想到亲属称谓语和非亲属称谓语。由于东西方文化的深刻异同，无疑汉英称谓语有着千差万别。对每个国家来说，文化是一种符号系统，语言只是在这个网络系统中的一种象征性的元素。显然人们不能只是意识到单独的语言和文化，也必须意识到语言在文化中的含义。在不同的语言文化中，同样的称谓方式，可能有不同的语用准则、语用范围、语用含义。称谓的使用异同很容易在跨文化交际中造成不必要的误会,为避免跨文化交际中的称谓语语用失误, 我们必须了解双方的称谓异同。本文从两部分入手——亲属称谓和社交称谓，了解且对比中西称谓语的异同，并从中了解到文化异同。通过略论中英称谓语之间的异同及其原因,来深化人们对称谓语这一语言现象的认识，从而增进彼此之间的了解，英语论文范文，提高人与人之间的交流水平，建立良好的人际联系。
