Abstract:
Along with the multi-polarization of politics, the globalization of economy and the internationalization of information, the whole world becomes a “global village”. Now that China has entered WTO and opened its door wider than ever to the outside world, more and more foreign companies are coming in China. It is important for China to establish business relations with foreign companies to promote its economy. International business relations have expanded international communication in which business English plays a major role since most of the businesses in the world are carried out in English language. Nowadays the trade activities are very fierce and Business English has been widely used all over the world. Compared with general English, Business English has many typical features. Some reviewers have studied a few aspects of features of business English. Some others have researched its formats in business correspondence when people use letters to communicate with each other. The word and the sentence features of Business English will be described from the aspect of the definition of Business English. This paper mainly studies the vocabulary features of Business English, concerning the use of simple words, special words, formal style, rhetoric, abbreviations, etc. All will contribute to a better understanding of Business English and help to build a language bridge for China’s international trade activities.

随着政治的多极化,经济的全球化和信息的国际化,人们生存的世界已经缩小为一个地球村。中国加入世贸组织为越来越多的外企打开了进入中国的大门。在外贸中,很多交易都是用英语来交流的,所以商务英语起了至关重要的影响。尤其在国际贸易竞争日益激烈的今天,商务英语的应用越来越广泛,它有别于普通英语,其语言风格及特点也比较鲜明。从开始应用商务英语之初,就有不少人探讨商务英语的某些特点。还有人探讨了商务信函的格式等。本文从商务英语的定义出发,英语毕业论文,主要阐述商务英语在词汇和语句方面的特点,举例详细阐明这些特点,使人们对商务英语更加了解,英语论文题目,从而更好地开展国际贸易活动。

1 Introduction
Now China has entered WTO and opened its door wider than ever before to the outside world, more and more foreign enterprises and companies are coming into China. It is very important for China to establish business relations with foreign companies to promote its economy. It is also noted that foreign companies need customers from China. International business relations have also expanded internal communications and Business English plays an important role since most of the businesses in the world are carried out in English. This paper begins with what Business English is, then explains the major characteristics of Business English: vocabulary features and sentence features. Business English conveys business theory into practice, due to the specificity of information, business English has its special characteristics. Compared with sentence features, this paper pays more attention to the vocabulary features.
