摘要
模糊语作为言语交际的一种手段，在日常生活中起着非常重要的影响。恰当应用模糊语能大大增强语言的表现力和交际效果，使语言表达更自然、得体。
本文将以美剧《邪恶力量》中某些场景的一些对白为语料，并根据模糊语言的理论，重点对模糊语及其所具有的语用功能进行略论，英语毕业论文，由此得知模糊语具有多种不同的语用功能，其恰当使用可更好地维护交际双方的人际联系。唤起人们对模糊语的注意，同时也让人们认识到模糊语在日常生活中的重要性，英语毕业论文，从而恰当应用模糊语。

Abstract
Vague language as a means of verbal communication plays a vital role in daily life. The proper use of vague language can greatly enhance expressive force and communicative effect of language, and make language expression more natural and appropriate.
This paper is on the base of the theory of vague language and will take some dialogues in some scenes of an American drama Supernatural as corpus to analyze vague language and its pragmatic functions. Thus it can be seen, vague language has a variety of different pragmatic functions. The proper use of vague language can maintain interpersonal relationships between the two communicative sides. With the purpose of arousing people’s attention to vague language, this paper also makes people aware of the importance of vague language in daily life, and initiates people to use vague language appropriately.

1. Introduction
Generally speaking, language expression should be explicit and precise, which is true in certain circumstances. However, language used in our daily life might not be clear and accurate all the time, especially in communication process. In practice, either Chinese or English, or even any language in the world, there is a vague phenomenon. Many people have been attracted by sense of fuzzy beauty in language expression.
Vagueness, as an inherent attribute and a characteristic of language, is widely used in various fields such as newspapers, magazines, advertisements, even political statements. Many scholars at home and aboard have studied vagueness for several years from different aspects, such as philosophy, semantics, and pragmatics and will pay high attention to it. Why vague language has become a hot issue in academic field? The reason is that the study of vague language is of great significance. It contributes to the research and development of natural science and social science, the research of language itself and the expressive effect of language.
