Abstract
Skopos theory is the most important theory of the functionalist translation theories. This paper begins with the introduction of Skopos theory and then offers an analysis of linguistic features, cultural features and commercial features of English film titles and ends with translation measures of English film titles from perspective of Skopos theory. Thus the research of Skopos theory pioneers a new perspective for the translation of English film titles.
