1.1 Background
The Outline of Foundation Education Curriculum Reform has stressed that: Teachersshould join the interaction with students actively and develop with them together; teachersshould deal with the relationship between imparting knowledge and fostering abilities;teachers should emphasize the training of students’ independence and autonomy, guidestudents to query, invest and explore, make them study during practice, and promote studentsto study positively and be full of personality under his or her guidance. Teachers shouldrespect the personality of students, emphasize the differences among individuals, satisfydifferent study requirements for different students, create an educational environment whichcan guide students actively involved in, arouse their studying enthusiasm, foster an attitudeand ability of mastering and applying knowledge, and make every student develop better. Inother words, the basic method of curriculum implementation is classroom teaching. Theteaching process is the interactive process of mutual communication and commondevelopment between teachers and students. Teaching is the unification of teachers’ teachingand students’ learning, and the essence of this unification is communication. During theteaching process, we emphasize the dynamic information communication and classroominteraction among a teacher and students so that they can communicate with each other,influence each other, and support each other. In the new round of the experiment of the basiceducation curriculum reform, the effect of the classroom interaction will directly influence theprocess of the curriculum reformation.

1.2 Significance
To do a study of teacher-student classroom interaction is significant for English teaching.The author talks about the significance from two aspects: theoretical significance andpractical significance. Theoretical SignificanceSince the 1970s, the core of foreign language teaching research has appeared from theefficacy of teaching methods to the learners’ individual factors and actual situation in theforeign language learning classroom. The scholars describe the classroom activities between ateacher and students, and analyze it under the background of the second language acquisition.This research reviews the classroom interaction between the teacher and students, is based onthe study of the theoretical background, mainly investigates the patterns of the interactionbetween the teacher and students in senior high school classroom, reveals the main problems,and discusses the strategies for practicing. In theory, the aim of this study is to enrich anddevelop effective strategies of interaction patterns between the teacher and students in seniorhigh school English classrooms. This research not only can enrich the content in the field ofthe interaction between the teacher and students, but also can provide some theoreticalrationales and practical References to carry out effective interactions between the teacher andstudents in the English classroom during the implementation of new curricular in senior highschools.
