1.1 Research Background
阅读不断起着重要的影响,因为它只有一个状态并没有在英语学习的四个基本技能,但在中国的外语教育的一个重要方式,让学生获取信息的第二语言学习环境。此外,根据中国当前的情况算外语言教育,阅读不会被动摇了很长一段时间。由于阅读被认为是一个语言输入的主要措施,培养和提高学生的阅读能力一直是大学英语教学的首要任务和中心环节。在该地区的第二语言习得“以学生为本”的看法与建议,探讨人员集中自己的眼睛,就如何提高学生的自学能力。其结果是,学生的学习策略上做探讨的重要性前面。奥马利和查莫特(1990)曾指出,英语论文题目,当某些因素不利于学生提高他们的语言能力,适当的概念和策略起到了补偿影响在这些因素的作用。文秋芳(2017年b)表示,在其他因素相同的条件,学生的学习策略,可以起到决定性的作用英语成绩。阅读策略,微观的角度来看,学习策略,注重学习知识或技能的策略,英语论文网站,如某些类型的听力策略,阅读策略,词汇策略(文秋芳,2017),根据该文件,英语学习策略的实证探讨中国在过去的20年中,温家宝指出,只有3在过去的20年,在核心期刊上发表文章的阅读策略。因此,阅读策略缺乏探讨证明,在这一领域还有很大的探讨空间。Reading plays constantly an important role in China’s foreign language education as it isnot only one of the four basic skills in English learning, but a vital way for students to acquireinformation in second language learning environment. Besides, under the present situation offoreign language education in China, reading will not be wavered in a long period of time.Since reading is considered a main method of language input, cultivating and improvingstudents’ reading ability is always the first task and central link in college English teaching.With the proposal of the view of “student-centered” in the area of second language acquisition,researchers focus their eyes on how to improve learners’ self-learning ability. As a result, theimportance of doing research on students’ learning strategies comes to front. O’Malley &Chamot (1990) had ever pointed out that when certain factors are not conductive to studentsto raise their language proficiency, appropriate concepts and strategies can play a role incompensation on the impact of these factors. Wen Qiufang (2017b) said that in the sameconditions as other factors, students’ learning strategies can play a decisive impact on Englishachievement.Reading strategies, the micro perspective of learning strategies, focus on learning certaintypes of knowledge or skill strategy, such as listening strategies, reading strategies,vocabulary strategies.(Wen Qiufang, 2017) According to the paper, Empirical Studies onEnglish Learning Strategies in China over the past 20 Years, Wen pointed out that there wereonly 3 articles on reading strategies published in core journals in the past 20 years. Therefore,the lack of research on reading strategies proves that there is still much research space in thisfield.
1.2 Research Purpose and Significance
This article intends to investigate the use of reading strategies by non-English majors ofNorthwest A & F University. It aims at observing whether there are any differences in strategyuse in no task and in task reading, how types and frequencies of strategies varied according totask difficulty. Besides, this article tries to find out their reading pReferences andcharacteristics between graduates and undergraduates. In this way, their weak links, gaps andloopholes in strategy use can be revealed. According to the research result, students can getfeedback and be compensated. Teachers are able to help students to read scientifically andeffectively.
This article has its own Theoretical significance 1) reading strategies refer to the actionsthat the learners take to solve the difficulties in the course of reading. It is an importantcontent not only in the area of learning strategies, but in the area of second languageacquisition; 2) the research of reading strategies helps to further explore the relationshipbetween learning strategies and individual differences such
