This study through researching the relationship of correlation research between college English Teacher’s classroom multimodal discourse and the improvement of student’s studying enthusiasm, from four aspects, motivation, teachers' personal charm, multi modal choice and so on, researches the method of improving college students' positivity of learning English. With two kinds of qualitative and quantitative research methods, through questionnaire survey, Internet voting, classroom observation and recording the final examination results, the paper analyzed the influence of the different teaching methods in English class teaching.
I Introduction 1.1 Research Background The cultivation of students' English comprehensive ability, especially listening and speaking ability, to enable them to effectively communicate with oral and written English in the future, strengthen the ability of autonomous learning, improve the comprehensive cultural literacy, and to meet the needs of our society, is an explicit target of the university English teaching. So how to cultivate the English comprehensive ability of college students is an arduous task for many scholars and university English teachers who are facing. So according with this goal, many universities have reformed of university on English teaching. The multimedia network teaching including language, images, audio, video and other resources which are rich and colorful teaching mode replace the traditional teaching mode of single language. University English teaching is no longer confined to the only teaching mode. But it is extended to become multimodal teaching mode including text, pictures, music and Internet. So this multi-modal university English teaching practice and research play important role in teaching reform, improving the teaching efficiency and effect optimization, the cultivation of comprehensive ability of students and other aspects. There is few researches on the correlation research between college English Teacher’s classroom multimodal discourse and the improvement of student’s studying enthusiasm.
