ABSTRACT
Vogue expressions refer to the language form which widely popular in a certain period among some people. It is not only a language phenomenon but also a psychological phenomenon of social culture. To a certain extent, it is a mirror of the time which centrally reflects the social transition, the mainstream culture and psychology of the masses in a certain historical period. Contemporary Chinese vogue expressions are the most fresh and expressive parts among the Chinese vocabulary, they reflect the most popular phenomenon of contemporary Chinese society and are also witnesses to China’s progress.
Along with the Reform and Opening up policy being intensified, China and the world is more and more closely linked. As China pays attention to the rest of the world, China also attracts attention from the world at the same. Therefore, the English translation of the contemporary Chinese vogue expressions has become an important window for the foreigners to understand China and they are also an important component of cultural exchanges with other countries.
By employing frequently-used Chinese on such mass media as papers and network, this paper gives a brief introduction of how culture may influence our translation as well as its application. In addition, it provides an analysis of linguistic characteristics based on the guidance of that translation principle. Documentary analysis and descriptive methodology are needed as main research methods to achieve the aim of this paper, which is to summarize the applicable strategy and to provide a more accurate and more organized mind in translation.

摘 要
流行语指的是某个时期在某些人中广泛流行的语言形式，它既是一种语言现象又是一种社会文化心理现象。在一定程度上可以说，它是时代的镜子，英语论文，集中地折射出一定历史时期的社会变迁、文化主流和大众心理。当代汉语流行语是汉语词汇中最鲜活最新颖和最具表现力的部分，它反映了当代中国社会最流行的现象，也是中国社会进步的见证者。
随着改革开放的力度不断加大，中国越来越深入地融入世界。在中国了解和关注世界的同时，中国也备受世界瞩目。因此，英语论文网站，当代汉语流行语的英译成了外国了解中国的重要窗口，也成了对外文化交流中的重要组成部分。
作者拟从一个宏观的角度，将去年日常交流中被人们频繁使用和出现在报纸、网络等媒体上广为流传的汉语表达作为基本语料，以文化翻译观为理论指导，通过文献法和描述性探讨法，探讨文化翻译观在当代汉语流行语英译中的应用，略论当代汉语流行语英译在文化翻译观指导下的特点，总结归纳适用策略，论证文化翻译观在当代汉语流行语英译中的巧妙运用，为把握更准确的翻译拓展思路。
