Abstract
The past decade has witnessed the growing importance and influence of interpreting activities as the world becomes more and more integrated, among which, press conference interpreting stands out as a motivated cross-cultural communicative activity for its diplomatic and political characteristics, especially during the sessions of National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
The thesis probes into strategies for and quality of press conference interpreting (PCI) from the perspective of Interpretive Theory. Based on Interpretive Theory, which highlights the importance of sense rather than the linguistic form in the interpreting process and proposes the Triangular Model, namely, comprehension, de-verbalization and re-expression, the thesis firstly tries to illustrate the features of PCI in terms of speech, content and function, as well as challenges encountered. The thesis, by employing qualitative and explanatory method, attempts to propose some coping strategies for PCI, that is, liberal interpreting, information supplement and subtraction, explanatory interpreting, restructuring and logical inference, on the basis of analysis of transcriptions available from press conference interpreting of Premier Li Keqiang and other high-ranking political leaders in 2017 and 2017, each followed by corresponding quality evaluation. Hereby, the thesis provides some guidance for interpreters in PCI practice.

摘要
由于世界越趋一体化，过去的十年里，口译活动日益重要，英语论文，作用越来越大。其中，特别是在两会期间，记者招待会口译由于外交及政治特性脱颖而出，成为一种有明确目的导向的跨文化交际行为。
从释意论出发，本文研讨记者招待会口译策略并作质量探寻。释意论主张在口译过程中意义的重要性，而非语言形式，并提出了“三角模式”，即理解，脱离原语语言外壳和重新表达。以释意理论框架为基础，本文首先略论记者招待会口译的言语、内容与功能特点及其遇到的困难。此后通过基于语料略论的定性及解释性探讨措施，略论2017年及2017年李克强总理以及其他政府领导人的记者招待会口译材料，提出一系列应对策略，诸如自由口译，英语毕业论文，信息增补与删减，解释性口译，结构重组和逻辑推理，并进行了相应的质量探寻，对记者招待会口译实践具有一定的指导意义。
