Abstract
Poetry is one of the oldest forms of western literature, which is deeply rooted in western culture. Therefore, in the history of British literature, or even in the world’s literature history, poetry holds a special position. British Lake Poetry, as the dawning of Romantic Movement in England, plays an important role in the development and prosperity of British literature. The process of translating poems is also the process of recreating pieces of art. However, translation of poem is considered to be one of the most difficult and demanding tasks.
This paper consists of three parts. The first part states the background of the British Lake Poetry and its representative poets. The second part presents the linguistic features of British Lake Poetry through analyzing some examples. The third part tries to discuss some problems of English poems translation through comparative analysis. This part focuses on the “Three Beauties Principle” proposed by Xu Yuanchong, namely beauty in sound, beauty in form and beauty in sense. Hopefully, through analyzing the theories and principles for translating British Lake Poetry, deeper understanding of poetry translation can be achieved and applied in translation practice.

摘 要
诗歌是西方最古老的文学体裁,深深根植于西方文化,因此其在英国文学史上,乃至世界文学史上,英语论文题目,诗歌都占据着特殊的地位。英国湖畔派诗歌,作为英国浪漫主义文学的开端,在英国文学的发展与繁荣的过程中扮演着重要的角色。译诗的过程也是对艺术再创造的过程。然而诗歌翻译也被认为是难度最大、要求最高的任务之一。
本文分为三个部分。第一章介绍了湖畔派诗歌产生的背景以及代表诗人。第二章通过举例阐述了英国湖畔派诗歌的语言特征。第三章通过对比略论,详细论述了英诗汉译时常见的问题,重点略论由翻译大师许渊冲先生提出的“三美”准则,即音美、形美、意美。通过对这一翻译理论及准则的略论,英语毕业论文,论文期望达到对诗歌翻译更深的认识,并将其运用于翻译实践当中。
