从功能对等论看中式特色菜名的英译[英语论文]

Abstract:

The study aims to translate the specialties correctly from functional equivalence theory. Firstly, the writer analyzes the definition of functional equivalence theory and its guiding significance on translation. Secondly, the writer compares Chinese culture with the western culture from their different eating habits, different religious and different moral ideas. Thirdly, the writer research the Chinese and western ways of cooking. The last but not least, the writer tries to translate the specialties by functional equivalence theory.

摘要:

本文旨在正确翻译中国特色菜名,为了更加准确的翻译,英语毕业论文,笔者从功能对等论的定义及其在翻译方面的指导意义着手,先分别从饮食习惯异同,宗教异同和道德观念异同三个方面略论中西方饮食文化的不同,接着从中西饮食的烹饪措施不同进一步了解如何准确翻译菜名,最后应用功能对等英译不同的中式特色菜名。

1.    Introduction
What is food specialty?
Food specialty means some dishes are region-specific, and it can represent a kind of culture in this region. Culture concludes dietary culture, moral ideas, and living habits and so on.
The study aims to translate the food specialties correctly from functional equivalence theory. At the beginning of the thesis, the author analyzes the definition of functional equivalence theory and its significance on translation. Then, the writer compares Chinese culture with the Western culture in their different dietary habits, the impact of religion and moral ideas on dietary styles. Based on studies, the author researches the Chinese and western cooking styles. Finally, the author tries to translate the food specialties by functional equivalence theory.
