Abstract:
Poetry translation has long been considered as tough work. It is even more complicated when being combined with interpretation, which is always stressful and intense to an interpreter. The brilliant interpretation of Premier Wen Jiabao’s quoted poems at the press conferences of the “two sessions” not only received busted-out applauses from the audiences, but more importantly triggered academic fever for research of the poetry interpretation. After the brief introduction to Théorie du Sens, based on the analysis of all the poems quoted by Premier Wen at the press conferences of “two sessions” and their impromptu renditions, the thesis endeavors to analyze the subjective and objective factors which pose challenges on poetry interpretation at government press conferences and the thesis puts forward tentative solutions accordingly towards these challenges.

诗词翻译很长时间以来被认为是翻译的难点，而将之与高压、高强度的口译结合后则更是难上加难。但此前口译员在温家宝总理于“两会”记者会上多次引用古诗词时的精彩翻译，不仅博得了广大听众和网民的满堂喝彩，英语论文范文，更为重要的是引发了对诗词口译的探讨热潮。在对释意理论进行简要概括后，本文基于近年温家宝总理“两会”新闻发布会中所引用的诗词及译者的当场口译版本,分析了造成政府新闻发布会中诗词口译困境的主、客观因素，英语论文范文，并且针对这些因素提出了解决方案。

1. Introduction
With the fast development of economy and the deepening of opening-up to the outside world, China has been playing an indispensable role in international arena and extends increasingly closer relationship with other countries. Press conferences held by Chinese government, against such backdrop, have no doubt served both as an important platform to publicize our policies and as a bridge for China to be linked with the rest of the world. Restricted by time, particularity of press conference (hereinafter to be referred as PC) and other factors, PC interpretation is both a physically and psychologically consuming task, when poetry interpretation in the midst of press conference interpretation is of utmost difficulty. Though many scholars have studied on Chinese poetry translation, the author finds that quite a few studies focus on poetry interpretation at press conferences from the perspective of Théorie du Sens. Therefore, the author chooses that topic as the subject of the research.
