Abstract:

China’s tourism is growing at breakneck pace with the development of economy and the improvement of people’s lives. Nowadays we can call it a large state for traveling. The China’s tourism scale expands smoothly and industry quality has been improved obviously. But the width and depth of the development of tourism in our country is far from adapting to te needs of economic development and people’s living standards. An army of problems has surfaced and there are many wrong translations on tourist attractions. It will not only bring to the scenic spots even to the whole of China’s external image serious downside effect, also can bring great harm to the healthy development of Chinese tourism industry. The correctness is particularly important to the tourism English, because it reflects the basic quality and cultural quality of the Chinese people in some way. Thus, more attention must be paid to the translation work for tourism in order to be able to achieve better publicity to promote the development of tourism in our country. This article mainly introduces the characteristics of tourism English, and then analyzes several strategies of English  tourism translation with help of many examples. The study aims to give English learners insights into translation of English tourism.

摘  要:

中国旅游随着经济的发展和人民生活水平的提高,已然成为旅游的资源大国。旅游业发展迅速,产业规模日益扩大,英语毕业论文,产业品质不断提高。但是,我国的旅游业发展的广度和深度都远远不能适应经济发展和人民生活水平提高的需要。因此,很多问题也随之而来,英语论文题目,旅游景点的英文翻译存在很多的错误,这不仅会对各景区景点乃至整个中国的对外形象造成严重的不利作用,也会对中国旅游业的健康发展带来极大的伤害。旅游英语的正确性尤为重要,它从某个方面体现了我国国民的基本素质和文化素养。为了能够达到更好的宣传效果以促进我国旅游业的发展,对旅游翻译工作应予以重视。本文主要阐述了旅游英语特点,并结合实例略论了旅游英语恰当的翻译措施,旨在使英语学习者从中得到旅游英语翻译的一点启示。

1  Introduction
Since the policy of reform and opening up to the outside world was put into practice in 1978, the tourism industry in China is becoming more and more extensive with the improvement of China’s economy, and tourism in China is developing rapidly. An increasing number of foreign tourists come to China for enjoying our natural culture, and most of them know about the tourist resources of China and culture through the tourist literature. At present, there is not a standard about tourism translation.Therefore, the incorrect interpretation and Chinglish interpretation appear everywhere in scenic spots. The information conveyed is inaccurate and incomplete, as well as the tourism translation quality. Do you know what foreigners think about us when they see these wrong translations?Of course, they will certainly laugh at us, so we have to solve this issue immediately. The paper analyzes the language features of English for tourism, and explores the skills and techniques used in tourism English translation.
