Abstract:

With the development of reform and opening up, the process of globalization is further advanced. Chinese companies have to rush their way ahead by participating in the international competition, providing not only high-quality products, outstanding service and large financing, but also good images and intensive corporate communications. Proper translation of Chinese company profiles is important to enhance Chinese companies’ images and reputations.
English and Chinese are two completely different systems of language, with distinctive cultural differences and historical background which have big impacts on company profiles. Different from most English company profiles which tend to be simple, natural, and informative, Chinese company profiles make use of a great deal of rhetoric vocabularies, formulistic expressions and neat sentence structures to polish the beauty of language, so it can be inferred that the translation of Chinese company profiles is an arduous task to explore.
The paper firstly discusses the features of Chinese company profiles, points out the importance of vocabulary selection and then focuses on the Variable Translation Theory as well as some other translation theories through typical examples. In the end, it draws a conclusion to summarize and show some expectations.

摘  要:

随着改革开放的不断发展,全球化的进一步推进。中国公司必须积极地参与国际市场,不仅要提供高品质的产品,出色的服务和巨大的资金,而且还要强化公司沟通和良好的形象。中国企业简介的恰当翻译关于提高企业形象来说至关重要。
英语和汉语是两个完全不同的语言系统,有着不同的文化异同和历史背景,这些因素对企业简介的撰写造成很大的作用。与大多数外国企业概况不同,它们往往是简单,自然,英语毕业论文,信息量大的,中国企业的简介利用了大量的修辞词汇,公式化的表达和整齐的句子结构以表现语言之美,因此在对中国企业简介翻译这一领域我们还有很长的路需要探究。
本文首先讨论了中国公司简介的特点,指出词汇选择的重要性,然后通过典型的例子重点介绍变量翻译理论以及其他翻译理论。最后,得出结论总结并给出一些期望。
