摘要
长久以来，随着翻译探讨的文化转向，怎样有效地在翻译中传达语言和文化中存在的异同就成了翻译界的热门话题，于是，归化与异化之争也开始浮出水面。通过仔细探讨，作者发现他们的分歧主要在两种措施的选择上。众多学者莫衷一是，英语论文题目，作者认为这个问题值得进一步探讨。本文首先介绍归化与异化的定义及其起源，英语论文题目，接着论述作用选择的三大因素，然后，从词汇、句法和篇章三个层面探索归化策略是如何在张培基编译的《英译中国现代散文选》中得以灵活应用的。最后作者得出的结论是翻译家张培基采用归化为主，异化为辅的翻译策略。

Abstract
For centuries, with the cultural turn in the translation field, how to effectively deal with the linguistic as well as cultural differences in translation, or in other words, whether we should adopt domestication or foreignization, has becomes a hot button in such field. The author finds that their main division is the choice of the two methods. Scholars hold various opinions about their application, the author believes it is worth studying further. First, this paper offers an introduction of domestication or foreignization. Then three factors that influence the choice of the two methods will be discussed. After that, the author explores how domestication is applied in Selected Modern Chinese Essays compiled and rendered into English by Professor Zhang Peiji at Lexical, syntactic and textual levels. Finally, the author concludes that domestication is much more frequently used and foreignization is a complementary strategy in Zhang’s translated works.

1.1 Significance of the Research.
In contemporary world, inter-translation between two different languages is playing a more and more important role in our daily communication. It is crucial to carry forward our Chinese works and culture to the whole world. However, different people have different versions about the same one. And there are two main dominant transition strategies-- domestication and foreignization which are created by Venuti . The usage of such two strategies depends on text type, target readers and aim of transition. But, under what condition should we employ them properly in texts has aroused fierce debate among people. In most essays translation, people prefer to use foreignization. But employing domestication effectively can also bring about a good translation. Thus, in this paper, how domestication is employed in Zhang Peiji’s translations will be analyzed. It is conducive to readers as well as to translators to have a better understanding of translation.
