摘要
电影的片名是电影的一个重要组成部分。一个好的片名能起到吸引观众的影响。曾有人将电影的片名比作电影的门楣,其不仅要简短,还要反映影片的中心思想,英语论文,以达到吸引观众的目的。德国功能派的目的论认为目的是决定一切翻译行为的首要准则, 为电影片名的翻译提供了有力的理论支持。电影片名的翻译作为运用翻译, 其主要目的是实现影片的艺术价值,并且提高上座率,英语论文网站,以达到获取商业利益的效果。根据目的论, 在电影片名的翻译过程中可以采取灵活多样的措施对不同类型的片名进行处理, 以实现电影片名自身的功能。本论文首先介绍了目的论与我国电影片名翻译的近况,然后略论了造成这种现象的主要原因,最后,在目的论的理论指导下总结出了电影片名翻译过程中主要采用的措施。

Abstract
Movie title is an important part of the movie. An excellent title can play the role of attracting audience. Someone once compared movie title to the door lintel, as it is not only short and brief, but also attractive to the audiences, and it also reflects the theme of the movie. The skopos theory, proposed by the German functionalists, points out that the skopos (purpose) should be followed as the first principle in all translation activities. It provides a convincing theoretical support for movie title translation. As a kind of application translation, the main purpose of movie title translation is to achieve its artistic value and make profits by increasing attendance. According to the skopos theory, various kinds of methods can be used in movie title translation in order to achieve the function of movie title. Herein this thesis skopos theory has been introduced first, then the existing problems of current movie title translation in China have been mentioned and the main reasons of those problems have been analyzed. In the end, two main categories of translation methods have been recommended based on the skopos theory.

1 Introduction
As a form of art, movie is one of the most influential mass media, it reflects people’s daily life and it is a product of different culture. Before we watch a movie, we usually would like to know its title first. A good title may draw many people’s attention and finally guide them into cinemas. A good title even survives longer than the content of movie in our mind. With the development of cultural exchange and commercial activities, our country imports hundreds of movies every year. For a foreign movie to own an attractive and unforgettable Chinese title is of great commercial and cultural importance and value.
