摘要
双关语是英汉语修辞中常见的形式,在日常生活中也频繁使用。中英双关既有共同之处，也有不一致的地方。双关在翻译的过程当中会有很多变化。本文拟就在了解双关翻译历史背景定义，英语论文题目，分类，翻译措施的基础上，总结出几点中英双关在翻译过程中体现出的形式、意义变化规律。其目的是为了在此基础上对双关语的翻译有更深的理解。本文主要通过对英汉双关在文学著作，广告中显现出的变化，英语毕业论文，来略论双关翻译中体现的形式意义变化方式。

Abstract
Pun is a common English rhetoric. It is used in our daily life frequently. There are differences and similarities in Chinese and English pun. During translation, there are lots of changes. This paper mainly talks about pun’s variation between English puns and Chinese puns during translation, based on pun’s historical background，definition, classification and translation methods. The purpose is to have a better understanding of pun during translation. This article focuses on the changes of meaning and form of pun in literature and advertisement.

1. Introduction
1.1Background information
Pun，as a widely used rhetoric in daily life, can be seen in many masterpieces and popular literature, including formal occasions and everyday life. It shows its charm here and there which means it is suitable for both refined and popular tastes.
However, due to the language and culture difference, pun is considered as a challenge in the field of translation, because it is almost impossible to find an equivalent pun during translation. So this requires us to find the essence from the phenomenon and understand the author's real intention.
In the studies of pun translation, many translation scholars are convinced that pun is untranslatable for a long time, which has prevented them from deepening their study of pun translation. Some just translated the meanings of pun, not the humor of pun. Some academics treated humor as a primary subject of reservation. These kinds of strategy are clearly contrary to the dual function of pun itself. As more and more scholars begin to realize the importance of the translation of pun, many scholars began to form some relevant exposition. |
