Abstract:
The unceasing emergence of neologisms and the withering away of old words, are the development rule of language glossary, among those new terms, the words and expressions of current affairs are in the core part to reflect China’s politics. They look like a mirror, through which foreigners can know about our national conditions and economical strategies. The key point to achieve such a mirror role lies in English translation of these words. As a matter of fact, the translation of Chinese neologisms of state affairs and politics into English holds the pivotal status in China’s foreign dissemination work, and the quality of the translation directly affects China’s foreign policies, economic and cultural communication. The major task of this thesis is to explore the proper methods of C-E translation of new terms on China’s current affairs. The cultural difference between east and west, embodied in neologisms, makes their English translations inaccessible, and thus poses great difficulties and challenges for the translation of this kind. This paper tries to present the main principles and some methods of translation such as domestication, foreignization and transliteration. Through detailed discussion and examples, it helps to understand how new terms of China’s current affairs are transformed and used in English. Before introducing these methods, the author analyzes the characteristics and difficulties in the process of translating new terms on China’s affairs. In addition, this paper is to expose lexical gap caused by cultural differences between east and west. Finally offers some views on the prospects of the spread of new terms on China’s current affairs in English speaking countries.

摘 要：
新词的不断涌现以及旧词的逐渐消亡,是语言词汇发展的规律，其中涉及时政方面的词语占据着举足轻重的用。它们就像一面镜子，通过这面镜子可以了解我国国情和发展状况。要使时政新词语起到这样的镜子影响，关键一点就在于时政新词语的英译。汉语时政新词语的英译在中国的对外宣传和传播工作中占有举足轻重的地位，翻译质量的好坏直接作用到中国的对外政治、经济和文化交流。本篇论文的目的在于探索中国时政新词的英译措施。东西方文化大的差距，使得翻译此类新词面临了极大挑战与困难，因此本文将以中国时政新词的英译为例，英语毕业论文，介绍一些时政新词英译的措施，如归化，异化，音译等。这些措施有助于我们了解中国时政新词是怎样翻译并在英语中运用的。在介绍翻译措施之前，英语论文，本文将先略论实证新词的特点以及翻译过正中存在的难点。除此之外，还将试析中西文化异同造成的词汇空缺，并在最后提出中国时政新词在国家传播的前景的看法。

1 Introduction
Since the reform and opening up policy, great changes have taken place in the field of politics, economy, trade and culture. During the period, a variety of new terms have mushroomed in China on large scales, among them, new terms of China’s current affairs take the important position, through these new terms foreigners get a general impression on China’s development.
