摘要

改革开放以来,英语论文题目,越来越多的外国游客涌入中国旅游,促进了中国的旅游业发展。旅游景点名称作为海外游客了解中国的一个重要窗口,其名称的英译更显重要。中英文旅游景点名称存在许多相同点和不同点。本文基于英语旅游景点名称特点,根据目的论的目的准则、忠实准则和连贯准则,英语毕业论文,提出采用音译法、直译法、意译法和加注法英译旅游景点名称,以提高旅游景点名称英译质量。

Abstract

With the development of China’s opening up to the rest of the world, more and more foreign tourists come to China to travel, which makes Chinese tourism industry develop quickly. As important materials for foreign tourists to know China, their C-E translation is becoming more and more important. There are many common and different features between Chinese and English names of scenic spots. Based on the features of English names of scenic spots, according to the spokos rule, fidelity rule and coherence rule of Skopos Theory, transliteration, liberal translation, literal translation and annotation are suggested in order to improve the quality of C-E translation of the names of scenic spots.

1.    Introduction
With the development of China’s opening up to the rest of the world and more communication with foreign countries, more and more foreign tourists come to China to visit Chinese places of interests.
1.1    Background information
“It is estimated by the World Tourism Organization that there will be more than 0.13 billion tourists coming to China by 2020 and China will be the first destination of tourists in the world. ”(Ao Yulan, 2017:132)
The names of scenic spots play an essential role in the process of knowing Chinese culture in travelling. In China, many names of scenic attractions are bilingual both in English and Chinese in order to give convenience to foreign tourists and help them to know Chinese scenic spots better. “In order to develop our tourism in the international market, the translation of the names of scenic places becomes more and more important. The accurate C-E translation of the names of scenic spots also helps to extend our tourism industry. ”(Yang Hongying, 2017:175-178) A lot of cultural factors are included in a name of scenic spot such as stories of famous people, legends, the origin of the name, etc. As a result, the C-E translation of the names of famous places is extremely difficult.
