摘要
本文对功能主义的几个基本观点进行了一定的回顾,就功能主义目的论的三个基本准则进行了一定的阐述。在对英语电影片名主要来源的略论的基础上,对电影片名功能的略论的基础上以及对电影片名选择准则的略论的基础上,从功能主义目的论的角度出发,英语论文题目,着重强调了归化和异化在电影片名中译英中的应用,英语毕业论文,借以指导电影片名的汉译英实践。

Abstract
This thesis gives a general review of several basic ideas of functionalism and three basic principles of skopos. On the basis of analyzing the origin of English movie titles, the functions of movie titles and the rules of choosing movie titles, this dissertation emphasizes the application of domesticating and foreigning methods in translating movie titles from Chinese to English with the combination of traditional translation methods and the skopos of functionalism. In this way, translation of movie titles from Chinese to English is well directed.

1. Introduction
1.1 Research backgrounds
In an international environment, the communications between movies in China and those abroad are increasing in a surprising speed. Chinese films, as a newly-born motion picture industry, have not been into the global mainstream film market. But what should not be disregarded is that Chinese films especially those directed by famous directors such as Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, Feng Xiaogang have attracted a lot of global communities in recent years. Film title, an essential part of the movie, is of significance for giving information. The translation of the film title is a job of importance and creativity. A good translated film title is good to film, enriching part-time cultural life of domestic audiences, promoting Chinese films international and enhancing the interaction in international cultures. This thesis is aimed at discussing the relevant issues of translation of film title from Chinese to English: its accomplishment and ignorance, its pragmatic rules and ways from a functional perspective, which is to make translators of film title from Chinese to English aware of carelessness and mistakes in their work. In this way, these translators can better translate film titles and help Chinese films become international.
