Abstract
The website FT Chinese, as the only Chinese website of the English newspaper Financial Times, has set up a section called “bilingual reading”, which provides both English and Chinese versions of the news. It provides five articles a week and all the news are concerned with the big events happened to the world economy. In particular, the articles dated back to last year talk much about the sovereign debt crisis in Europe, the crude oil prices and the stock markets.
According to Peter Newmark, the translation theorist, news reports are mostly informative, so translators should adopt the communicative translation. That is to say translators should try to make sure what the target text readers get is equal to the original readers get from the source text.
Additionally, Li Changshuan points out that news translation belong to non-literary translation. Thus during the translation process, translators should pay attention to the content, form and style, and try to be accurate, simple and plain.
This thesis has chosen the articles under the subtitle of “global economy” from October 16th, 2017 to May 8th, 2017 (in total 100 articles). Through a diligent analysis of the texts, the thesis tries to conclude the main feature of the articles in Financial Times, and then propose some practical translation strategies. The thesis attempts to help readers and translators to read and understand.

摘 要
英国《金融时报》的中文唯一网站FT中文网开辟了一个双语阅读栏目，提供中英文的对照文本。每周更新五篇，所报道的内容均为经济大事件。尤其最近一年内的文章大多数围绕欧洲主权债务危机、世界油价和世界股市。
根据翻译理论家彼得•纽马克的观点，新闻报道属于信息类的文本，英语论文，在翻译的时候应采用交际性翻译，即尽力给译文的读者提供等同于原文读者的感觉。
国内的翻译大家李长栓老师也指出，新闻的翻译应属于非文学翻译，翻译时应注意文本的内容、形式、风格，翻译的目标应为准确、简洁、朴实。
本文选择了该网站自2017年10月16日至2017年5月8日的双语阅读栏目下“世界经济”板块的中英文对照文本（总计100篇），通过认真略论，英语论文范文，总结出此类文本的主要用词特征和句子特征，继而提出相应的翻译策略，方便读者和译者的阅读及理解。
