Abstract
China has strengthened and deepened the exchanges on economy, politics and culture with the outside world. Foreign publicity is becoming more and more important. Vast information about China has been translated from Chinese into English, and then announced and propagated to the world in various forms. Now the English version of China’s official documents has become an important window for the outside world to know about China. However, the translation of China's official document still has some problems. What kind of translation theory can provide better guidance? What kind of translation standard is better? What are the stylistic features of C-E translation of official document? All the problems are the focus people pay attention to in the development of official document translation.
This thesis employs functional equivalence theory as theoretical foundation and mainly focuses on the stylistic features of C-E translation of official document. It adopts content analysis and case study as research methods. It first gives a brief introduction of the status quo of official document translation in China; then it explains the functional equivalence theory’s guidance and assistance to official document translation. After that, it presents the general information of Chinese official document including definition, function, category and aesthetic value. At last, it from aspects of words, sentences and structure, reveals the stylistic features of C-E translation of official document.
The result of this thesis will be a necessary summarization of the standards and strategies in C-E translation of official document and be able to provide some better theoretical guidance for the future work on translation.

中国与世界各国的政治、经济、文化交流日益加深加强。对外宣传显得越来越重要。大量中国的有关信息从中文翻译成英文，以各种形式对外发表和传播；英语公文已经成为外界了解中国的重要窗口。然而，中国公文翻译仍存在一些问题。什么样的翻译理论能提供更好的指导？什么样的翻译标准更好？公文翻译有哪些文本特色？这些问题都是这个公文翻译发展中人们关注的焦点。
本文以功能对等翻译为理论依据，以内容略论和案例略论为探讨措施，致力于探讨中国官方文件翻译的文本特色。文章首先阐述了中国在公文翻译领域的近况，其次谈及功能对等翻译理论对公文翻译的指导、帮助，英语毕业论文，然后介绍公文文体在中国的基本情况，包括定义、价值、影响及分类，最后从词语、句子、结构几个方面揭示中国官方文件翻译的文本特色。
本文不仅是中国公文翻译标准、策略的必要总结，也为今后的翻译工作提供更好的理论指导。
